Indiana Thespian Conferences

For the past 17 years, The Griffith Drama Department has sent students to both Regional and State Conferences where students can watch shows, compete, and take part in workshops. Held both in fall and winter, Indiana Conferences provide students with a unique opportunity to learn and master their craft, while meeting students from around the state. The Griffith Theatre Company is a proud member of the Indiana State Thespians, Troupe #6558.

Regional Comepetition

Regional Conference took place this past November at Hobart High School. 29 of our students performed and worked on our crew to bring our regional show Tracks to the stage. We placed 4th out of 7 schools and got to watch our fellow Northwest Indiana Troupes compete with their shows to advance to state. ​

Our Weekend @ State!

State Conference took place this past January at Avon High School. 16 of our students attended. We had seven students participate in Thespy individual  performances in solo and duet musical categories, along with monologues and duet acting. Four of our students won excellent ribbons from the judges and Jeremiah Fuentes came home as our new State Thespian Officer for the state!
