Spring 2018 - The Music Man
This show was a blast to direct! We now have a full team working for us, quite literally a small army (nine of us now, wow!) that help guide and teach our students how this whole theatre world works. As always, I have my wingman Maggie Rivera, who does everything from helping run rehearsals, to painting flats of books, and everything in between. Mr. Graff has out done himself this time, with more set pieces than I think I’ve ever seen backstage! Miss Vehrs, Miss Bourget, and Mr. Alexander have done a wonderful job teaching dances and music, and they are always my favorite part of working a musical. Miss Scheidel, Miss Nelson, and Mrs. Januska, really did their research! Our cast looked like it stepped right off the streets of River City, circa 1912! Our students really shined in this musical, bringing back the nostalgia of a time before iPhones, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. With such iconic songs as "Gary, Indiana", "The Wells Fargo Wagon", and "Seventy-Six Trombones" we hoped you were singing right along with us!
